Reviews of The TypeFinder® Personality Test

I was surprised when taking this test that my personality type has changed from the last Myers-Briggs test I did on another seemingly decent site elsewhere around 2 years ago, and my understanding is that these shouldn’t change. That left me with question marks as to the accuracy of this test, but on reflection, I think that although this is a great test and site for useful, well presented insights, it just can’t be perfect, for the following reasons: *Who you are deep down differs from what you’ve worked hard to control / portray: I believe for a lot of people there’s a big difference between what you exhibit vs who you are deep down, and what you would be like if unchecked. I think this test doesn’t necessarily reflect that. For example. I’ve worked so hard in the last year on being more considered and organised, Working on my weaknesses to help me noticeably improve organisation and delivery. However, questions like ‘do you deliver on time’? Don’t reflect the fact that if left to my own devices, I never would, that’s not who I am sadly, but I can definitely say it’s better than it was in light of my safety nets. *Recognising nuance: Perhaps I just recognise certain things in myself now that don’t translate well to binary choices - as an example: I like being made a fuss of on my terms, but do not speak up in situations where I don’t feel comfortable with the crowd, it’s very selective as to whether I believe I’m liked and whether the attention comes with scrutiny. Anyway, my point is, I’m not sure this test (or possibly any like this) can capture that level of nuance, so can’t ever be perfect. Overall still found numerous insights I recognise in myself and appreciate, as well as learning new things, but I can see a few of those contradictions aren’t well presented in the results. Anyway, I would still happily recommend, I don’t think we can be categorised quite cleanly enough for any test to be perfect!

I purchased the full report. This is one of the most in-depth studies of personality types I have experienced. Insightful and helpful.

I enjoyed this process and may follow it further down the rabbit hole. My husband would say INTJ is right on the money for me. sometimes I wonder if I'm weird because I don't think like others but it's nice to see that it's my personality and is just who I am.

Thank you for professionally providing me an official report regarding my personality type. I had taken a couple of personality that technically did not seem valid and reliable, as when I took them, something just seemed "off" about the results, which made me second guess my personality type. Since I tend to both analytical, idealistic, and artistic, having a professional score report officially confirm what I already knew to be true, professionally and personally, was extremely helpful, understanding, and validating, as I have taken several versions of the Meyers & Briggs 16 personalities before, once in high school for a class and multiple times in college due to minoring in psychology in college. One version of the Meyers & Briggs 16 personalities test was in print and the rest online, but the results of those tests were all reported to me free, with not as much detail, and somehow having this official score report for my personality type helps bring me a sense of inner self-awareness and security that I was currently lacking in my life due to the fact that due to my personality type (INFJ), I am a bit of an idealistic jack of all trades who loves people. Thank you for the energizing boost of self-assurance and the assistance and with helping me re-gain confidence in myself, both personally and professionally, as I've always been confident in my abilities, even if other people doubted me because of my intuition or my introversion. I am sincerely grateful for the data presented and for the interpretation of said data, as it helps me to see, even more clearly now, why I have such an idealistically logical and creative personality that seems contradictory in viewpoints, but actually, in the end, creates harmony because of the fact that I logically see concrete things in a way that helps me interpret them abstractly in an artistically human manner for people since my personality type literally sees all sides of a matter--the big picture as well as the details--from an introverted leadership perspective, and that is a powerful thing to know in global society that tends to value the power of extrovert. This version of the Meyers & Briggs personality test helps me define and re-define as well as clarify and re-clarify the power of introverted leadership in a typically extroverted world.

WOWZA! I found the test very thorough and I absolutely loved finding out the results. It was extremely insightful for me in understanding myself better: things in my past made more sense and I feel like I have useful information for future actions, relationships, etc. Very helpful on many levels of my life. Totally worth the extra money for the complete report. Will recommend this test to my friends and family.

The results I got definitely gave me a better understanding of why I do or think the way I do. It’s a good feedback loop on ways I can improve and help better the quality of my relationships. I knew something seemed off.. I am just 51% more of one type than the other. ;) Thank you, Truity!
