How do you put a price on getting to know yourself better? This tool is helping me immensely! It makes so much sense...I feel validated on what I know about myself and also has shined a light on my fears, blindspots, and growth opportunities! I see an immediate reward in using this model for self awareness!

I look at a lot of online tests like seaside fortune-telling machines: put a buck in and get a laugh. Holy guacamole, though. This report nailed me (98% a 4) and I started crying as I was reading. The thing was uncanny. See, if you're a 4, you feel misunderstood and different and like you have your nose pressed up against the glass of life watching everyone at the party inside. I started crying, for real. It's nice, ironically, to know I'm "normal"--or at least I am a type. The paid report (search for a coupon code online; I did) provides a good summary of your personality, its wings and arrows, and some basic steps to consider to move past the detriments of your number into a fuller, happier self. Totally worth it!

Test was easy to take. The results I received were not only explained but also gave me ideas on what I need to do to grow my strengths and strengthen my weaknesses.

I became aware of the Enneagram test recently as I was helping a friend with a family dinner. Present were grandparents, adult children and spouses, parents of a spouse, and a handful of grandchildren. One of the adult children pulled out her phone and had all the other adults take turns answering the questions, then they would go over the results out loud. It was fascinating to hear the feedback of siblings and parents as each person's core tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses were discussed. As I listened, I decided that I wanted to do that with my siblings, their spouses, and my parents!! In the meantime, I had to take the test and see if my results were legit. Lo and behold! I am going through a divorce, and it was so enlightening to step back and really evaluate my tendencies and how they may positively or negatively affect my relationships. Though a little painful, it was good to acknowledge ways that I contributed to the downfall of my marriage. I really love that part of the results includes two areas where I can push myself to grow, improve, and become a stronger woman. My motive for taking the test was for recreation and out of curiosity. Now my motivation is to seek a deeper understanding of myself and to really put in the work to strengthen myself. So amazing... So worth taking the test and getting the full results!

My perspective is colored by being certified in both MBTI and Gallup Strengths. I prefer both MBTI and Strengths over the Enneagram because the first two tend to come from a Strengths perspective still acknowledging basements or pitfalls, but without the amount of emphasis on the negatives. While there were definitely parts of my Enneagram type that resonated with me, quite a bit of it seemed very "off". I'm not sure if that is because of where I am in my development or not.

This helped me understand why I do things the way I do. Why I bottle up my emotions. Why I like routine and reliability so well.
