Reviews of The Enneagram Personality Test

Good info

I thought that when I paid 30 dollars I would essentially be getting a book, instead it is just a web page that i can choose to download but is like a 10 minute read. I thought this report would be more tailored to my individual answers.

I took the enneagram test and actually invested in the result a few months after separating from the father of my children. I was looking to gain a deeper understanding of who I am and what I value and how to put it into words with the goal of cultivating more meaningful relationships and living a more purposeful life. Seeing my results made me chuckle a bit, learning I am so deeply a 2 and I didn’t really see that. It allowed me the space to openly look at the negative qualities in my mind that I didn’t want to admit from a place of optimism towards growth. The explanation of wing types definitely propelled me deeper into my growth journey by giving me a clearer vision of strengths I do possess which I can grow into even more. All in all, it was absolutely worth the money especially in a time of transition.

I found it was lacking in information and clarity. I scored relatively even in all 9 types, and yet the report only gave me the very highest, yet 2 others were very close. There was a fair amount that fit for me, but a fair amount that did not. I wish I had more information about how this test was created. I have used a lot of great personality assessments over the years, and so far this has been among the least useful to help me in my life. I guess I wasn't after something that felt like a willy nilly horoscope.

I have to admit I was skeptical of how “personal” this report would be (spoken like a true 8 😹) but it was very accurate AND most definitely personalized for me. Not a generic “copy and paste” of Type 8, etc. I’ve also read several books on Enneagram, and still discovered a few insightful and eye opening things about me in this report. I recommend with confidence!

While highly accurate in many ways, I felt the overriding tone of this report was negative, much more focused on the issues one has/might have. Honestly, I found it a bit depressing, whereas perhaps I was hoping for something more balanced? Yes there is information on how to grow, change, make things better but I felt the preponderance of information on the negative to be overwhelming and dispiriting. As someone in particular looking to begin a job search after a long time away - hoping for some updated personality information to perhaps guide me - I left the experience perhaps more enlightened but also considerably less hopeful.

While I believe the information provided to be uncanny in accuracy, I don't appreciate the paywall very much.

Really excellent and very accurate!

I thought it was generally spot on. I was discouraged by some of the summaries, some of the descriptions were feeling a bit contradictory, but overall a good read.

Get information for self-reflection. Didnt give as much insight into relationships with others provided by other websites.
