the multiple repititions of similar questions with slightly varied wording seems intended to build a quantitative view of questions that are so nuanced and varied in their contexts that the whole purpose of the questions is undermined. Am I deeply empathetic? Sometimes... other times I can be a cold bastard. Do I over-analyse? Often yes, but maybe equally often I under-analyze.
The results seem trite and highly incomplete, but there are no perfect psychoanalytic tests- the questions trying to be asked are so inherently complex that this whole field is, after decades, still in its infancy. In that context, this test seems as good as some and better than most.
